MEET LINDSAY

LICENSED AESTHETICIAN + CERTIFIED MEDICAL MICROPIGMENTOLOGIST

Since 2006, I’ve been a licensed aesthetician (and certified medical micropigmentologist, 2024). What began as a side gig doing special occasion makeup soon evolved into a deeper passion for skincare and caring for others. Between classes, I worked as a laser technician in a medspa, an experience that fueled my love for the industry and caring for people.

After earning my degree from Oklahoma State University, I launched my career at a prestigious spa in Chicago, where I split my time between the treatment rooms and the buying and visual merchandising team.

As a buyer, I was responsible for trend research, inventory selection, supplier negotiations, budget management, and maximizing profits by curating niche products that resonated with our clientele. Once new products arrived, I translated strategy into visuals—creating merchandising renderings that became displays, designed to be both visually striking and psychologically appealing.

Years on the treatment floor revealed the darker side of this industry. I watched people push products clients didn’t need. I was a client myself—made to feel so inadequate that spending thousands seemed like the only path to being “acceptable.” At the same time, I was navigating the realities of motherhood, the natural aging of my face and body, and the disturbing ways the beauty industry targets my daughter at such a young age. I’ve seen the gimmicks. I’ve lived through the pressure.

This accumulated knowledge and life experience now drive an entirely different approach.

I entered this field to help people. My focus is on real skin health and building confidence—supporting you in staying true to who you are. Aging is natural. And we can do it gracefully, with integrity.

The rise of influencers—many untrained, promoting products they don’t understand, let alone use—only deepens my concerns. It’s time to shift the focus from hype to honesty. From sales tactics to self-care. From surface-level perfection to genuine well-being.

I’m here to help you feel good in your own skin.
No 12-step routines. No guilt trips. No empty promises.
Just knowledge, integrity, and consistently high-quality care.

In 2024, I was honored to receive the Illume Institute Scholarship for Permanent Makeup—a blessing and opportunity I’ll forever be grateful for. I trained under Ciara Amir and, after earning my Certified Medical Micropigmentology License, I continued to advance my skills through specialized education, including Lip Blushing with Becca Fuller of Babe Ink, Brow artistry with Slesh Teray and Alex Nica of Moko, and Salam Audi at Beauty Inkstitute.

With a lifelong passion for art, I find it truly rewarding to help others restore the pigment and confidence they once had.

MEET LINDSAY

When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family. I’ve been married to my husband, Scott, for nearly 15 years, and together we’re raising two amazing kids. Our son Harvey keeps us busy with baseball, football, and basketball, while our daughter Frances shines in competitive dance. Our home is also filled with love from our fur babies—Penny, our sweet cockapoo, and Kiddy, our playful kitten. Outside of family life, we enjoy Life Church and volunteer opportunities to help our community and schools. I enjoy cooking, interior design, and diving deeper into my passions by practicing new permanent makeup techniques and reading up on skincare.

The name Face Joy comes from more than just aesthetics. It’s inspired by one of my favorite scriptures, James 1:2 — “Count it all joy.” To me, this means finding gratitude and strength even in challenges, knowing that every trial shapes us into something stronger and more complete.

That perspective carried me through difficult times and still guides me today. Being able to do what I love, see clients return, and support my family through this work is a blessing I don’t take for granted. Face Joy is a reminder to always look for the beauty and joy in every season—and to share that joy with others.
